10 of the Best Columbus, Ohio Wedding Venues

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

In Columbus, Ohio, roughly 11,000 weddings happen every year. That’s 11,000 awesome couples, and I am fortunate as a Columbus wedding photographer to be a part of at least 15-20 of those along with some of my closest wedding-industry friends! The industry is blossoming in this area, and it’s primarily because the venue options are extraordinary. Columbus wedding venues are known for having either epic views of the metropolitan area, rich historical details, or stunning landscape fit for an outdoor ceremony or portrait time.

That brings us to this special post featuring my favorite Columbus, Ohio wedding venues, including outdoor venues, downtown Columbus venues, museums, greenhouses, farms, rooftops, hotels, historic venues, and more. These venues showcase quality service and beautiful details— they are stunning year-round.

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

The Club at Corazon, nestled in the heart of Dublin, Ohio, brings any couple’s Tuscan countryside dreams to life. Imagine it: ivy creeps up the rosé stone, greeted by the deep terracotta of Spanish roof tiles, and the glimmering of the trickling fountain creates a unique Florence inspired backdrop to your epic nuptials.

Some specifics, the Club at Corazon is a 57,000 square foot Tuscan style clubhouse that can fit enough of your friends and family to accommodate an intimate elopement to a grand gala. The venue boasts a mass amount of features including stone arches, detailed fire places, and a terrace with views that will take your breath away.

One of my favorite parts, aside from the unique exterior details, is the vineyard and lake that stretches around the property. It makes for an unreal backdrop to your once-in-a-lifetime portraits.

Their collection guide offers many options for couples coming from all types of budgets ranging between $2000-$7000 to reserve and includes everything you need to say “I do” and throw the best party!

From the amazing people behind the doors:

“At the Columbus Museum of Art we host everything from full-service weddings to corporate conferences. What all our event clients have in common is they are looking for a unique experience. Every event guest has the opportunity to include access to the galleries and use them as a source of inspiration or wonder during their event. We have a variety of different types of events spaces including meeting rooms, auditorium, our sculpture garden, plus our larger event spaces which can accommodate up to 300 people.”

Their vision is to create great experiences with great art for all. If you are looking for engaging and distinctive scenery, aesthetically they have everything from ornate, 100-year-old architecture to sleek modern spaces that were built during the expansion in 2015.

The CMA offers many options when it comes down to your budget, vision, and guest count. They have the Schottenstein Property Group Pavilion and The Atrium, which is the largest of their event spaces seating 250 during your pavilion reception and 300 for the perfect cocktail hour in the Atrium. It features a modern design, skylights, and a wall of glass to utilize natural light.

The Derby Court & The McCoy Family Broad Street Lobby is perfect for the more traditional wedding vision, providing a painted ceiling, skylights, and stunning limestone arches leading into the interior courtyard. This space fits 200 for the ceremony, 200 for cocktail hour, and comfortably tables 140 loving guests!

Lastly, a spacious feature that cannot be overlooked is the Patricia M. Jurgensen Sculpture Garden. This versatile outdoor space offers a lush garden experience and is meant for a fully outdoor experience. It has a garden fountain feature and shaded patio area that can be enjoyed by many. It fits 225 for the ceremony and 300 for the reception!

I also cannot forget to mention that if you can’t decide on which space to reserve for your avant garde wedding, no worries, because they have the option for you to turn the entire museum into a nuptial oasis.

Outside of the spaces, CMA also offers in-house catering. This makes creating your wedding day menu easy and stress free.

If wanting to reserve their creative full-service wedding experience, the average investment ranges from 23K to 35K with ceremony-only packages at $2,000.

ADVICE FROM CMA: “Play to the assets of your venue! We love when couples truly embrace the fact that we are an art museum and have a unique experience that no other venue in Columbus can offer.”

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Everyone knows the Palm House. It’s the best way to feel like you have been transported to a destination without having to leave the 614. I absolutely love the light that floods into every square inch of the conservatory -- there is never a need for a plan B for bad weather because it's literally a dream rain or shine. Imagine it, lush greenery year-round with perfectly manicured gardens to choose from for photos, secluded, and romantic in so many ways.

At Franklin Park they also have many options to choose from for your ceremony if you’re wanting something different from your reception in the Palm House! While you can say “I do” in the Palm House, they also have The Bride’s Garden. Despite the name it really is a perfect space for ALL couples because inclusivity is key. This garden compliments the exterior of the Palm House with stone architecture and horticulture. Its goal is to accentuate the historic appeal of the grounds while still being transitional for the more modern couple.

Another location feature that The Conservatory has is the Grand Atrium. Is their largest indoor space featuring enough space to host a 500-person cocktail hour! With this slated tile and pillared space comes the rooftop Zen Terrace that encompasses the idea behind feng shui. In the space you’re surrounded by illuminated works by Dale Chihuly, a bubbly fountain, traditional bamboo, and an extraordinary wall of Bonsai. It’s so serene and can be used for your ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, or portraits!!

You can expect your average investment here to be around $22,000. It’s so worth it when you can have flourishing greens inside and out year-round. In the Midwest, have that rainy day contingency plan no matter what is priceless.

The Granville Inn is a quaint and charming venue in the heart of Granville, Ohio. So not quite in Columbus, Ohio, but close enough that it couldn’t go overlooked. The cream stucco covered in bright green ivy creates a beautiful backdrop for photos and celebrations.

For weddings, they have a gorgeous outdoor courtyard for ceremonies, cocktail hours, and even an al fresco reception. Imagine getting married around neutral brick columns, lush trees, and sweet bistro lights. Truly a romantic gem! This place is perfect for any intimate wedding, celebrating with up to 130 of your closest friends and family.

To host the perfect wedding getaway, collections range from $50-$70 per person for food and $10-$45 per person for the bar. The food packages include some delectable items like slow cooked beef burgundy, bacon wrapped scallops, Atlantic salmon, and eggplant parmesan for those who are vegetarian!

This venue really allows you to slow down and relax and enjoy the day and it’s why it’s in my favorites!

Jorgensen Farms is a lot more than just organic produce, featuring a vibrant farm and flourishing green houses. It’s a wedding venue that offers two signature options for both the upscale rustic couple and an open greenhouse and reception space for the more modern and nature-loving couples. The entirety of Jorgensen’s grounds truly creates a diverse and luscious scene that fits any vision. HOWEVER, I want to give focus to Oak Grove – the historic venue that started the trend for greenhouse weddings and an open-air experience.

From the powerhouse that is Jorgensen Farms:

“A fifth-generation farmer, Val Jorgensen founded Jorgensen Farms in the spirit of building a homestead for her four sons and in pursuit of her love for growing, cooking, and eating real, natural food. Since its founding in 2002, the farm has grown to become a unique setting for elegant events inspired by the beauty of nature. With two distinct event venues, 100 acres of organic farmland, a leading culinary program, and a plethora of floral and herb varieties, Jorgensen Farms is a place where life and love grow gracefully together in the Midwest.”

Additional details that make Oak Grove my favorite is once you say Jorgensen is the one, you are assigned your own in-house wedding and events coordinator to make planning of tablescapes, vendors, timelines, and more a breeze. Best of all, they have in-house catering featuring the freshest menu options. Some grown straight from their farm. Lastly, they have a home-grown floral design team that knows the venues best nooks and install-spots inside and out meaning that creating those Pinterest worthy arrangements are possible!

The investment average at Jorgensen varies widely based on the time of year and the day of the week you choose. They carefully listen to every couple, keeping all budgets in mind. In terms of capacity, there’s some things to note, the capacity for the Greenhouse is 200 and is best utilized a ceremony only, 250 standing capacity for the Cottage / courtyard makes for the perfect cocktail hour, and in the Main Hall, 250 can seat comfortably for your reception or indoor ceremony. The Outdoor Lawn may also be utilized for ceremonies of 200-250 guests! The lawn, fire pit, century-old oak trees, and pond truly makes this venue a fairytale.

ADVICE FROM JORGENSEN: “We are here to not only make all of our couples wishes come true but to also make the planning process as seamless as possible. Our biggest advice would be to book a venue that can give a couple the most for their rental that offers inclusive options like our Historic Barn and Oak Grove venue! My other piece of advice would be to book a venue as early as possible. We are seeing clients book two to three years out just to guarantee they are able to celebrate at the venue of their dreams.”

In the heart of the Short North, you really get a taste of Columbus at The Joseph. This super modern and sleek hotel showcases marble floors, big columns, and unique furniture scattered throughout. You are always greeted with a smile as a doorman lets you inside, kicking off the great guest experience they offer.

From the boutique hotel:

“Centrally located in the lively and bustling Short North Arts District, Le Méridien Columbus, The Joseph is a boutique hotel that takes wedding experiences to a new standard. The Joseph is a trending destination location with great vibes and culture that elevate memorable highlights of the wedding weekend! Retro touches with minimalistic embellishments and rotating artwork keeps it fresh and relevant for today’s couples. There are spectacular parts of The Joseph that not many know about. They have two Spa Suite Ready Rooms which offer an under-the-radar, intimate setting where you can relax, laugh, and enjoy your pre-wedding moments with the people who mean most to you. The luxuriously designed space provides ample room for the bridal party and vendors of choice to utilize for hair and make-up with ease. They have a grand presidential suite and can’t forget to mention that 1,200 square foot 24-hour fitness center. However, that’s not the best part of booking The Joseph for your wedding WEEKEND. When you host your wedding at Le Meridien Columbus, The Joseph Hotel, your Honeymoon accommodations are an added bonus. It starts with a complimentary Executive Suite the night of your wedding right here in the Short North, and complete with champagne, dessert and a soaking tub!

The Joseph can accommodate onsite ceremonies for up to 160 guests in the Hamilton Room or 170 in the Coleman. The space includes a 1-hour orchestrated rehearsal the night before the wedding. China, glass, silver, floor length linens, champagne toast, cake-cutting and a dreamy honeymoon suite are all included complimentary. They offer three tiers of wedding packages catered specifically through The Guild House (YUM) that include hors d’oeuvres, salads, entrees, coffee station and a four-hour full bar. They are priced at $89, $98 and $119 depending on the package you select. Room set-up is $500 - $1000 with a 22% service charge and 7.5% sales tax. The packages make it very easy to budget because you know exactly what your cost will be per person in advance... and don’t worry, they will do the math for you.

Advice to couples from The Joseph:

“A wedding should be personal and reflective of the couple—their stories, shared interests, family backgrounds, personal styles and travels. This can be incorporated into a “Signature Drink” based on their first date, or late-night bites featuring their favorite indulgences such as sliders, fries and milkshake shots! It’s important to keep the total guest experience in mind, especially for those traveling from out of town. Do your homework on what is happening in and around your destination, hop onto “Experience Columbus” website, or check out game day calendars and plan a fun activity with that in mind. And don’t forget, everything doesn’t have to be decided right away.”

Magnolia Hill is a modern farmhouse venue situated on a hilltop just north of the city. It feels like a breathtaking destination but is close to home for effortless planning and easy accessibility for your creative team! Every space is a dream! Magnolia Hill Farm is designed to incorporate gorgeously manicured outdoor ceremony locations and a beautiful natural light filled reception hall. This 10-acre working flower farm provides the most stunning backdrop for any wedding day you can imagine and all the amenities you could possibly need.

This blank slate venue is perfect for the couple whose vision doesn’t fit a specific venue and that requires blank walls, bright light, and surreal scenery.

The property homes a beautifully covered veranda, a reception hall filled with natural light, the courtyard, and a spacious-designed suite for couples to get ready in. With this space you are also able to bring in the caterers of your choosing. With confidence, you will have delicious food for your guests thanks to the prep kitchen and all the accommodations your caterers need.

The archway-covered veranda is perfect for ceremonies, while the Magnolia room is a climate-controlled reception hall that comfortably fits 250 guests. In between those events, guests can mingle and enjoy cocktail hour in the courtyard.

Beyond these rooms are of course the picturesque views from the hilltop, that combine to make the perfect scene for your portraits and guests to enjoy. Golden hour photos are an absolute must at this venue.

The Ohio State House is an easy choice. It has endless photo possibilities with its classic staircases that are adorned with grand white columns, simplistic landscaping, and a few steps away from the famous Ohio Theatre. It’s one of my favorite places to go even if you aren’t getting married there. It easily takes the cake when wanting a classic downtown wedding with high-end luxury details.

This venue gives your guests a unique experience once they enter the space full of history. For your out-of-town guests, they will get to see why you love Columbus so much and want to keep it a part of your nuptial experience.

Another stunning feature about the space is the massively high ceilings that keep your wedding ceremony and reception feeling grand. The detailed marble flooring and arched Rotunda, while perfect for your ceremony, creates a unique and rare backdrop to your portraits. As you walk through stone archways and up grand staircases, you enter a glass atrium for the reception where you’re surrounded by stunning light, stone columns, and view-points where you can look over your guests having the best time and be enchanted by the love that’s filling the space.

The Ohio State House fits up to 275 guests and offers three different wedding packages, starting with ceremony only, then reception only, or both ceremony and reception with their pricing ranging from $3500 to $8000 to start. With your booking you are guaranteed a special events coordinator, two hour set up time, one hour tear down time, a gorgeous state room for your wedding party, and a few other special details.

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

From this sophisticated venue:

“The Smith Bros Building is a historic part of Columbus, and we are thrilled that couples can share in its *magic* with family and friends via the North 4th Corridor. Revery, our glass-enclosed rooftop venue, boasts over 4000sqft of incomparable downtown skyline views, including an attached patio complete with a fireplace. Guests will be swept away in a dreamlike atmosphere enhanced with a retractable glass rooftop, weather permitting. Brick & Mortar showcases 2400sqft of exposed brick, dark wood beams, and glistening chandeliers. A 2000sqft manicured courtyard, perfect for ceremonies and cocktail receptions, is easily accessed through oversized glass doors. This lush courtyard may be tented for an additional cost for ceremonies and additional seating. Post 4 is a multi-tiered industrial venue that easily transitions outside through an over- sized glass garage door. Features include a handicap-accessible second floor, cozy courtyard, and over 4500sqft of event space.

Revery is the Smith Bros Building’s newest addition and boasts the most expansive retractable roof in the Midwest. The unobstructed views of downtown Columbus alone will leave your guests speechless. In addition to these incomparable venues, with over 20 years of experience, Milo’s Catering is an established brand in Columbus, giving couples the piece-of-mind that they are in the best hands. Our talented team of chefs provide delicious and thoughtfully designed fare that will leave your guests satisfied and ready to get on the dance floor!”

This place is a literal dream to photograph in and is a blank slate for big design. I love how airy and dreamlike every inch is. It literally takes your breath away when you first walk into the space. As soon as that elevator opens you feel like you've been transported to some fancy NYC experience – except better, it’s Columbus. The retractable glass roof is so cool and who doesn't want cocktail hour out on a rooftop patio?!

When it comes down to one of my favorite Columbus venues, this one cannot be missed because of the view of Columbus that you get and the emphases on luxury that Revery provides

As with any event, the cost will be dependent on many variables. At North 4th Corridor, they have multiple spaces that allow them to accommodate a wide range of budgets. And with that plethora of individual event areas, this venue can host unforgettable celebrations of up to 225 guests!

Advice to couples from Revery:

“Food matters. People tie memories together, so when your guests think back to the delicious meal you served, they will also recall their fond memories of your beautiful day and all of the small touches that made it special. Most importantly, take a moment together to look around the room and take in all of the people who are there to celebrate you. It may be overwhelming, but in that moment, you will be able to feel all of the love and support that surrounds you.”

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

The Westin is a brick beauty placed perfectly on the corner of S. High and E. Main St. This venue is more than just a grand ballroom, it’s a stunning hotel with rooms perfect for getting ready in. That’s one of the things I love about the Westin; it’s ability to truly be an all-in-one-location venue. Your guests can arrive the night before and get well rested before a day full of celebrations and then safely walk right back to their room at the end of the night.

The Grand Ballroom at The Westin is their main space with a unique look. It’s gold hues, majestic drapery, and cathedral-like window arches with stained glass make a statement that is unforgettable. It all screams luxury. This is a space full of details and it all glows. Comfortably, the Grand Ballroom seats 300 and can be used as either your reception or ceremony space. With the booking of the Grand Ballroom, couples are also given a complimentary night, which makes getting up the day of the wedding a breeze knowing you’re already at your “I do” location.

The hotel rooms aren’t talked about enough. While the traditional rooms are pretty, it’s the king suites on the higher floor that take the cake for best spaces to get ready in. There’s tall windows that bring in the morning light and artwork above the bed that creates the perfect contrast with the wedding dress. They don’t skimp on the details.

If you’re having your wedding here, know that your food options are outstanding. With their culinary team and local partnerships, they are able to create a menu that fulfills many appetites from brunch to dinner. On average the price per person is $100 and most often includes 4 piece/person hors d’oeuvre, wine toast for adult guests, 2 course plated dinner, and more, however there is a guest minimum to keep in mind. Starting out, with ceremony set-up included ($2500), expect your wedding here to start at $13,000 for 50 guests.
