Brunch weddings are where it’s at! Waking up with the sun, serving donuts during cocktail hour, enjoying an awesome omelet and waffle station for your reception and toasting with mimosas is all a win in my book!  Audrey started her day getting ready at the Hancock Hotel with her bridesmaids getting their hair and makeup done. With her friends surrounding her Audrey slipped into her modern dress and had her mom tie a perfect bow in the back.  She  had the sweetest first look with her dad and incorporated a sign that read, “I loved her first.”

We then headed over to their church for a 10am service where they exchanged vows and shared their first kiss as husband and wife. Jacob surprised Audrey with a stretch hummer during their exit from the church for their getaway car. I love when grooms have a few tricks up their sleeves on the wedding day!

We had a beautiful sunny morning allowing us to capture some truly gorgeous portraits outside the church! Audrey’s Mikaella Bridal dress from The Gown Shop Bridal was made for her— the low back and elegant bow was absolutely stunning. I love that they chose a patterned dress for the bridesmaids to add a little extra interest and fun! The flowers by Gina Lynne Design had a very romantic garden vibe with big roses and an extra element of fresh thyme that added a really unique texture. They had Jacob’s three young nephews stand in as the ring bearers and were so handsome and did a great job greeting all the wedding guests!

The reception was held at the Hancock Hotel is Findlay, Ohio with simple decorations and sweet handmade signs that read, “love you a brunch!” Everyone enjoyed a delicious meal and dancing and Audrey’s maid of honor Nicole gave a wonderful speech toasting the happy couple. Following the reception Audrey and Jacob snuck outside for a few more portraits and I’m so glad we did because they ended up being some of my favorites. I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again— always be sure to factor in some intentional quality time on your wedding day where you can step away from your guests and just soak in the moment! Not only will you get stunning photos, but it’s also a perfect time to commit to memory exactly how you feel on your wedding day.

Audrey and Jacob had such a lovely wedding and I was honored to be a part of it all. I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for them. With Jacob being a pilot and her a pharmacist I think they are guaranteed to have big adventures! They are such a sweet couple and some of the kindest, most easygoing people I’ve had the privilege of photographing! Congratulations you two!
