A Glimpse of Their Story Before Their Summer Wedding at the Ohio Statehouse

Mallory and Mitchell are the kind of couple who feel like instant friends. Their story started in college, where a few mutual friends, a perfect timing, and the right kind of spark brought them together. Since then, they’ve built a relationship rooted in adventure, support, and a shared love for their people, something that was obvious during their engagement session in downtown Columbus.

This weekend they’re getting married and I am so excited to celebrate with them and those they cherish most. Not to mention, with all the rain lately, I thought there was no better time to share the sun-soaked glow from their engagement session than now.

Yes, Always Bring Champagne.

We kicked things off downtown along the Scioto Mile. Mallory and Mitchell brought the champagne and the energy to match. The pop of the cork and the laughter echoed and set the tone for the rest of the evening.

The light hit just right, bouncing off the stonework and wrapping around the city’s soft skyline. We wandered around letting the city work it’s magic as the sun beamed in between the buildings.

For golden hour, I of course had to bring them to one of my favorite spots, the Franklin Park Community Gardens. Mallory’s dress, a sleeveless tie-strap lace midi from Anthropology, paired perfectly with the seasonal blooms. It was one of those moments where everything felt in rhythm: the light, the setting, the way they laughed with each other without needing any prompting. It was beautiful, but most of all, fun.

AN OHIO STATEHOUSE WEDDING

Mallory and Mitchell will be tying the knot at the Ohio Statehouse this weekend! With Aisle & Co leading the planning and design, and florals by the talented team at Prema, it’s bound to be a thoughtful and breathtaking day. With the reception being lead by Music City Sound, you know it’s going to be a party. With a vendor team like this and a couple like Mallory and Mitchell, you just know this one’s going to be good!
