Joyful Columbus Museum of Art Wedding

Samantha and Max’s Columbus Museum of Art wedding was filled with the purest of joy from start to finish.

Samantha started the day getting into her classic a-line dress from La Jeune Mariee. The lace details of the sleeves and flowing skirt truly emulated Samantha’s sweet personality. After that, the happy tears never stopped.

Samantha exchanged a special first look with her dad, full of tight hugs and laughter. Little did we know this was just a taste of the reaction Max was going to have when seeing his bride come down the aisle.

Columbus Museum of Art Wedding Ceremony in Derby Court

At the Columbus Museum of Art the sun beamed through the glass ceiling of Derby Court.

As a photographer, I absolutely love shooting at the Columbus Museum of Art. Derby Court, in particular, is such a stunning and unique venue for weddings. Its contemporary architecture and glass-enclosed atrium provide a modern and elegant backdrop for the ceremony and reception. The high ceilings and natural light make it a bright and inviting space, and the flexibility to accommodate both small and large wedding parties makes it a great choice for any couple.

As the sunlight illuminated the surrounding sculptures, the processional began and Max got into place. Anticipation, excitement, and speechlessness are just some of the emotions seen the moment he laid eyes on Samantha.

I couldn’t get enough of the beautiful sunshine in Derby Court. It’s such a treat to have light like this indoors.

After the ceremony, we had a great time taking couples portraits and wedding party photos in the museum and in downtown Columbus.

Wedding Reception at the High Line Car House

That same excitement carried all the way through the ceremony and into the reception at the High Line Car House.

Madison House Design made the space feel romantic and warm. Tall votives with tapered candles lined the tables with bushels of greenery weaved in between. To complete the entire table, Together & Company filled the plates with delicious entrees and Short North Piece of Cakes created the perfect element of fun by bringing in a Packers groom’s cake to enjoy. I also can’t forget to mention the tower of mini bundt cakes by my favorite, Nothing Bundt Cakes.

Once that glowing sun set, the party became. Josh Staley Productions made the atmosphere electric and not a single guest stayed sitting in their seats. A gorgeous day from start to finish!
