Wildflower Engagement Session in Pennsylvania

Heather + Herb

We planned meticulously for this. While I was visiting family in Pennsylvania, we were going to get together and do the engagement session since they lived here, and I live in Ohio. We had the perfect park picked out, full of gardens and statement architecture, we purchased our tickets well in advance and coordinated the outfits… it was going to be a dream. However, there are many things that can change your plans… park closed for an event or storms are the most common, but in our case, it was a huge truck that had wrecked into the gardens the day before, causing the park to be shut down.

I have been fortunate to know Heather for a long time, her mom is my aunt’s best friend so of course when this happened, all we did was laugh and take the time to game plan. We ended up stumbling upon this gorgeous park that had the most beautiful wildflower field and small beach. It honestly was better than what was originally planned because in this scene, Heather and Herb got to feel themselves and not be distracted by the planned architecture and scenery of the original plan.

Because of this, we were able to feel free and run through fields, enjoy an amazing sunset, and finish the night off taking a romantic dip in the waters. What Heather said after delivering their gallery made my day, “…and getting to see the way we look at each other from another person’s view makes my heart flutter”. It feels so obvious when looking at these images that they acted as if I wasn’t there and all they could see were each other.

It was so special getting to capture these two together and I can’t wait to fly out and create more magic on a beautiful farm in PA next year.
