If you are planning your wedding or special event near Columbus, Ohio, look no further! This modern farmhouse venue situated on a hilltop just north of the city feels like a breathtaking destination but is close to home for effortless planning and easy accessibility for your creative team!  Every space is a photographer’s dream! Magnolia Hill Farm is designed to incorporate gorgeously manicured outdoor ceremony locations and a beautiful natural light filled reception hall. This 10-acre working flower farm provides the most stunning backdrop for any wedding day you can imagine and all the amenities you could possibly need.

I had the pleasure of being invited to the grand opening of Magnolia Hill Farm, planned and designed by Meredith at Auburn + Ivory Creative, this past June and I was completely blown away! I can’t wait to share with you this impressive new venue and the incredibly talented local vendors that helped to bring it to life.

Once you have enjoyed the gorgeous details of this event, scroll a little further and check out how this locale transformed with the season, at their fall open house.  Any time of the year is the perfect time for your big day at Magnolia Hill Farm, you definitely won’t want to miss this one!

Lets be honest, what celebration isn’t made better by the perfect cocktail.  Short and Stout Mobile Bar was on hand to offer an assortment of hand crafted, super fresh, beverages to get the party started.  Can you imagine a more adorable bar than this amazing little trailer?

You can’t have a grand opening of a wedding venue without amazing floral design and Old Slate Farm did not disappoint. Every arrangement was beautiful but, the showstopper was the absolutely gorgeous greenery chandelier. Katie, the owner and designer, was also there making fresh arrangements on the veranda for guests to take home (my kitchen smelled amazing for days)!

For all those with a sweet tooth out there, you will appreciate all the delightful desserts provided by Abigail at Cupcakes n’ Crème Bake Shoppe. Her bright and beautiful ombre cakes and hand decorated cookies were the perfect cheerful treats, (and believe me those cakes tasted as good as they looked)!

Fall Open House

I was fortunate enough to attend the fall open house at Magnolia Hill Farm where premiere wedding vendors from around Central Ohio were invited to exhibit their work for current and future clients. From wedding planners and photographers to floral and cake designers to everyone in between, this was a great opportunity for collaboration and to give clients a vision of what their big day could be.

As much as I am a total summer girl and dread the cold weather, I just cannot get over how amazing these fall florals and dreamy table scapes came together. Kirsten from Bear Roots Floral created the most stunningly unique arrangements and Katie from Old Slate Farm did it again with her gorgeous romantic design! These intimate, swoon-worthy designs highlight the possibilities of the huge light filled spaces of Magnolia Hill Farm. The autumn blooms mixed with romantic pastels just transport you to a crisp afternoon filled with cashmere sweaters and Pumpkin Spice lattes (now that’s the kind of fall day I can get on board with)!

I continue to be incredibly proud of my mom, Kelly Jo with Sweetie Girls Treatery, who is new to the Columbus wedding scene, and in my unbiased opinion, is a total rock star!  She was invited to showcase her gorgeous wedding cakes and dessert table treats and she hit it out of the park. Amazing bas relief details and sugar flowers create the most stunning cake with just the right amount of modern elegance. And come on, how adorable are those home made caramel apples?!?

One of my favorite parts of being a wedding photographer is being surrounded by incredibly talented and creative business owners. They help to forge the amazing wedding industry here in Columbus, Oh. This gorgeous new venue is in great company!
