Racquel and Arjun's Multicultural Wedding Weekend in Columbus, Ohio
The best weekends are ones filled with a continuous dance of color, joy, and deep emotion. Racquel and Arjun’s wedding weekend was exactly that. From the vibrant traditions of their Hindu ceremony at Franklin Park Conservatory to the glamour and glow of their American wedding at the Columbus Museum of Art. Aisle & Co. made sure every moment felt intentional and rich with meaning, the vision the couple had for the day.
A Gorgeous Milni Ceremony at Franklin Park Conservatory
The day began at Franklin Park Conservatory, where Arjun’s family hosted a lively Sehra Bandi just outside the venue. It was a celebration filled with rituals, music, and laughter. As Arjun prepared for the Baraat, the traditional groom’s procession, excitement filled the air. Getting to then watch him ride in on a white horse, adorned in red and gold regalia, was unforgettable.
At the end of the Baraat, Racquel’s family greeted Arjun with sweet treats and blessings, a beautiful part of the Milni ceremony that brings both families together in unity. The scene was an evergreen mirror of what the two wore. Racquel was in a breathtaking red lehenga, embroidered with intricate gold detailing. While Arjun donned a traditional ivory sherwani and pink safa. Beneath a vivid red mandap bursting with florals by Prema Designs, they exchanged garlands and vows in a Hindu ceremony that beautifully honored Arjun’s roots.
Transitioning to a New Look, Venue, and Scene: Arriving at the Columbus Museum of Art
After the midday ceremony and lunch reception (which hands-down had some of the most flavorful Indian cuisine we’ve ever had), Racquel and Arjun had time to reset and prepare for the second act of their day. A classic American ceremony in the courtyard of the Columbus Museum of Art.
The light was soft and golden as the two walked down the aisle, hand in hand. This second look was another showstopper. Racquel glistened wearing Martina Liana 1137. The gown had layers of tulle featuring delicate bead work and lace, making for a look that was rich in dimension and detail. Afterward, she said it “was the happiest moment of her life”, and we believe her. Arjun also had a mini transformation of his own: he shaved his beard before taking to the aisle! A subtle detail, but one that felt symbolic.
Since they were already technically married, instead of a formal pronouncement, their ceremony ended with a shared toast and a shot. This was ritual their close-knit friend group always includes during big celebrations, and we loved getting to share in it.
A Bold, Lush Transformation by Prema Designs at CMofA
While loved ones enjoyed a catered cocktail hour, Prema Designs put the final touches on their reception at the Columbus Museum of Art. It was transformed into a moody, floral dreamland that fused old-world richness with modern, art-forward style. Honestly, it deserves its own exhibit.
The color palette leaned heavily into saturated jewel tones, deep wine, plum, and berry, with lush green foliage cascading from the ceiling. Dozens of mirrored disco balls sat within a dramatic floral canopy, creating a striking contrast against the draped backdrop.
The lounge was a showstopper with rentals from Aiden & Grace. Together, blending luxe textures with a hint of playful edge. Deep plum velvet swivel chairs and a sleek black settee were anchored by a gold-framed glass coffee table made for bold relaxation. Nestled into the greenery was a ceramic leopard, a perfect ode to the leopard print accents woven throughout the event, including the patterned table numbers.
Everyone showed out with fashion that rivaled the decor. The best were the reactions, not just from Racquel and Arjun when seeing the space for the first time, but their guests as well!
an epic MULTICULTURAL Wedding celebration
After special dances and speeches, Racquel changed once again. This time into a sleek, silk halter jumpsuit which looked elegant and chic during their cake cutting. To kick off the rest of the evening, Arjun’s groomsmen surprised everyone with a full choreographed dance performance. The energy was infectious as the crowd cheered. DJ Umang kept the energy sky-high all night. It was clear this truly was not going to be a shy dance floor.
A WEDDING Weekend Full of Collaboration
This day was a testament to what’s possible when everyone leans in with a shared vision. It’s safe to say Racquel and Arjun’s vision came to life with heart, culture, and joy at every turn. It is one we will all remember forever.
